The Kowa TE-80XWis an extreme wide-angle eyepiece designed to deliver a particularly open and immersive viewing experience. Unlike a traditional zoom eyepiece, it uses a fixed magnification to offer an impressive 80° apparent field of view, making it easier to spot birds and track moving subjects.
Its advanced optical design combines an XD lenswith a field flattenerto reduce chromatic aberration and maintain excellent sharpness right to the edges of the image. With the TSN-88, TSN-880, TSN-770, and TSN-66 series, it offers 35xmagnification and a field of view of up to 45 m at 1,000 m. On the TSN-99 series, the magnification increases to 40xwith a field of 39 m at 1,000 m.
The TE-80XW is also particularly interesting for digiscoping thanks to its vast field and its ability to produce a sharp image with very little vignetting. Fully waterproof and featuring the protective KRcoating, it integrates with the Kowa accessory system and is a high-end option for observers seeking above all a spectacular field of view.
