It all started in 2011.
We were celebrating our 30th anniversary, a passionate adventure that began modestly but has always been driven by the same energy: sharing a passion for birds.
For this special anniversary, we wanted to leave a mark, but in our own way. We wanted to break new ground and imagine something that truly reflected who we are — a sincere, friendly and lively celebration.
This is how
the Bird Fest was born.
A unique,
festive, and family event, blending nature, the joy of coming together, and our
shared passion: birds.
From the
very first edition, you were there — curious, enthusiastic, moved.
Your
feedback touched us deeply and gave us certainty: this event had to live on and
grow. Since then, we never stopped.
An event
to experience
Today, the Bird
Fest is a much-anticipated moment. It attracts nature lovers, families,
beginners, and seasoned birders, all united by the same wonder at these aerial
and free creatures.
It’s a
joyful celebration but also a breath of fresh air — a pause from our hectic
pace to relearn how to observe, listen, and be amazed.
Why
birds?
This
question comes up often. Why birds, more than other animals? Why this
fascination?
Because they
embody something universal. Their song at dawn, their graceful flight, their
infinite diversity… There is a simple poetry in them, a breath of freedom. They
teach us to slow down, to look up, to listen carefully.
Observing
them is reconnecting with our sense of wonder. It’s a continuous learning
process — recognizing a robin’s song, distinguishing a hawk’s flight, marveling
at the silhouette of a swallow cutting through the sky.
It’s also an
endless quest, full of patience, humility, and surprises. You never truly
“finish” birdwatching. You progress, discover, make mistakes, and start over.
And in this journey, there is something deeply human.
A message
behind the festival
But Bird
Fest is more than just a celebration. It also carries a commitment. Since its
beginning, it has been part of an effort to raise awareness and protect nature.
Each year, a
portion of the event’s proceeds is donated to associations working for the
preservation of birds and biodiversity. We support:
- endangered species conservation
programs,
- local actions to restore or
protect natural habitats,
- awareness campaigns to reveal
the richness of wildlife,
- and educational projects in
schools.
Because
celebrating birds also means taking care of what sustains them — and sustains
us.
A
declaration of love to nature
More than a
simple event, the Great Bird Festival is a declaration of love for nature. It’s
an invitation to slow down, to see our surroundings differently, to understand
that wonder is a source of strength.
It’s also a
way to act together, joyfully and simply. Everyone can contribute in their own
way: by installing a birdhouse, respecting nesting periods, participating in a
count, or simply passing this curiosity on to younger generations.
What if
you joined us this year?
If you
haven’t experienced the festival yet, we would be delighted to welcome you. The
program includes moments of sharing with experts, volunteers, and bird enthusiasts
— and above all, a wonderful community united by simple values: wonder,
sharing, and respect for life.
Bird Fest is
a story we write with you every year. And this year again, we’ll be here — with
our binoculars, notebooks, stories, and joy to see you again.
