SMART OBSERVATION
The KITE 10x30 and 12x30 APC stabilized binoculars bring you the latest technology in binocular image stabilization.
There are other stabilized binoculars on the market, but none of them compare to KITE. The most important difference is the correction angle. Most stabilized binoculars offer a correction angle of 0.5° to 1°, which means a correction of 0.8 to 1.7 meters at a distance of 100 meters. A shaky hand, a windy day, or shortness of breath after a hike will easily cause image instability greater than these values.
KITE APC stabilized binoculars feature new technology that allows the instrument to correct image stability by 3°, or 5.3 meters at a distance of 100 meters, or 53 meters at 1,000 meters. This is 6 times more than other stabilized binoculars. This will result in perfectly stable images not only from a shaky hand, but also from inside a car or on a boat.
This very compact and lightweight instrument also features intelligent functionalities. The electronics are powered by two AA batteries, the most common battery size in the world, and ensure the instrument operates for 36 hours. But to avoid losing a second of these 36 hours, KITE APC binoculars are equipped with sensors that automatically put the device into sleep mode when you are not observing. The APC (angle power control) function detects positioning. When the instrument comes into a vertical position, hanging around your neck or standing on a surface, it goes into sleep mode. At the first movement, stabilization restarts. No button switching, no accidental battery discharge. A timer function ensures it turns off completely after 90 minutes, regardless of the position. And a low battery indicator will tell you when new batteries are needed.
The stabilized APC is ergonomic thanks to a 4 cm long focus wheel that can be easily used with 3 fingers.
Although the stabilized APC looks different, it is as easy to use as any standard pair of binoculars.
The essence of this instrument lies, of course, in its stabilization capability. Optically, it is at the same level of performance as the KITE PETREL. However, in all unstable situations, whether due to shaking, shortness of breath, windy conditions, or onboard a vehicle, etc., these binoculars outperform the best binoculars in the world, and you will perceive images and details invisible with any standard binoculars. Try it, you'll see!
The stabilized binoculars are equipped with the KITE APC (angular power control) system. Without the need to operate the on/off switch, this system puts the electronics into standby mode when the binoculars are in any resting position (hanging around the neck), to automatically reactivate when you resume observations. This results in remarkable battery saving and contributes to user comfort.
With its 2 AA batteries, the stabilization mechanism can be active for up to 36 hours.
APC STABILIZED binoculars can also be perfectly used without activating the stabilization mechanism.
Regardless of its position (resting or active), after 90 minutes, the instrument will automatically turn off to save energy.
