The roofs are painted a vibrant red! The 1 1/4’’ (3.0 cm) opening allows chickadees, nuthatches, downy woodpeckers, or wrens to settle in and build their nests.

It is recommended to use wood shavings at the bottom of chickadee, nuthatch, and downy woodpecker nesting boxes. It is recommended to put an inch of wood shavings at the bottom of each nesting box. One bag of shavings will be enough for one nesting box.
