Feeder with dome - Observatory

This versatile feeder is great for offering small birds a secluded spot to dine, with its large dome and flared tray. The 8-inch diameter lower tray holds 1.1 lbs of fruit, mealworms, suet nuggets, or seed, inviting a wealth of different birds to dine. A 12-inch diameter dome fully covers this tray, protecting it from the elements, while drainage holes on the base tray help food remain dry and fresh. A metal rod supports the dome, and a wingnut and washer help keep it in place.

Raise or lower this wingnut on the rod to alter the dome's placement, further protecting seed from squirrels or larger birds. Unscrew the tray from this metal rod for cleaning or refilling, and use the hook at the top of the rod to suspend the feeder from a bracket or branch. Its plastic construction withstands exposure to the elements all year, and the clear finish allows you to see all the avian activity.

Birds that can use this feeder are blackbirds, bluebirds, cardinals, chickadees, doves, finches, grackles, grosbeaks, jays, juncos, nuthatches, orioles, redpolls, sparrows, starlings, and wrens.
