This seed is preferred by cardinals, finches, chickadees and many others. Grackles, sparrows and starlings generally do not like golden safflower.

This safflower square is ideal for all suet cages and lasts longer than all types of suet.

Golden safflower has a 40% thinner shell than traditional safflower, making it easier to eat and thus attracting a wider variety of birds than white safflower. It contains 15% more oil, 25% more protein and provides 30% more energy. Preliminary studies indicate a 2 to 1 preference over white safflower.
