Jacques Prescott is a biologist and associate professor at the Eco-Counseling Chair of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. A recognized specialist in terrestrial mammals and biodiversity conservation, he worked for many years at the Québec Ministry of Environment and advised several governments in this field. Pierre Richard worked for over thirty years as a scientific researcher at Fisheries and Oceans Canada. He was responsible for assessing beluga and narwhal populations in the Canadian Arctic. Both participated in the work of numerous national and international scientific committees.
