A robust model for custom feeding, the Legacy feeder holds 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg) of food. It has 4 feeding ports to accommodate perching and clinging birds. The Legacy is weight adjustable, so you can choose to exclude larger birds from your feeder.

TRULY SQUIRREL PROOF: The openings in the shroud are aligned with the feeding ports, allowing birds to feed. When a squirrel climbs onto the feeder, its weight automatically lowers the shroud, closing off the feeding ports. This way, the feeder thwarts squirrels and some large birds, without ever harming them. All feeder components exposed to squirrels are made of chew-proof materials.
N.B.: If a squirrel can reach the feeder from a nearby support point and avoid placing its weight on the feeder, it may be able to access the seeds. To resolve this issue, provide at least 18 inches (47 cm) of clear space around the feeder. This will force the squirrel to climb onto the feeder and trigger the closing mechanism.

EASY TO MAINTAIN: Squirrel Buster^MD feeders are designed to be disassembled by hand, without tools, into individual components. This makes them easy to clean and maintain. Detachable parts are dishwasher safe.

FOOD VENTILATION: The clear silos of the feeders trap solar energy. While conventional feeders block the escape of hot air, our patented feeding tube ventilation system expels moisture and hot air through the openings at the top of the feeder and replaces it with fresh air. This keeps the food fresh, attracting more birds.

UV RESISTANT: All components are UV resistant.

FOR PERCHING AND CLINGING BIRDS: The feeding ports have perches for perching birds while the shroud mesh provides a suitable surface for clinging birds. This encourages more birds to visit the feeder.

WEIGHT ADJUSTABLE: Our patented adjustable spring mechanism controls the weight the shroud supports to allow birds to feed. Any excess weight activates the closing mechanism.

LIFETIME WARRANTY: Replacement parts are available free of charge in store or can be ordered directly from the supplier.

EXCLUSION: This feeder does NOT deter grackles, starlings, juvenile red, Douglas, and northern flying squirrels, chipmunks, opossums, bears, deer, or raccoons. Please bring your feeder indoors at night to prevent nocturnal animals from emptying or destroying it.
