Coatings and Prisms

The UpClose G2 features Porro prisms, reflective optical prisms forming a right-angled triangle where both sides are of equal length. Porro prisms make binoculars more compact without compromising focal length or the dispersion of light rays passing through them, giving them the classic "wide-shouldered" shape of traditional binoculars. Their Porro prisms are made from BK-7 optical glass, which offers high reflectivity, allowing more light to pass through the optical path to your eye.

The UpClose G2 also contains other optical surfaces treated with special coatings to further enhance light transmission. This results in a brighter view than binoculars without coatings.

The Body

Whether you're on the trails or in a crowded stadium, you want binoculars that are comfortable to hold and use for extended periods, without fear of bumps or drops. The UpClose G2 features a lightweight, durable, armor-protected chassis. Their robust and rigid frame is rubber-coated to withstand harsh conditions in the field. The UpClose G2 are also water-resistant and can withstand unexpected weather conditions.

Viewing with the UpClose G2 is comfortable, whether you wear glasses or not, thanks to their rubber eyecups. Keep the eyecups raised for correct eye positioning without glasses. If you wear glasses, simply fold them down for storage.

How to observe?

The UpClose G2 binoculars are tripod-adaptable for extended observation or digiscoping (photography through the eyepiece). The tripod adapter is sold separately. Thanks to the removable lens caps, your lenses will always be protected. Additionally, the large, easy-to-turn focus wheel allows you to focus on subjects at different distances, even with gloves on.

Included Accessories

The UpClose G2 binoculars come with an integrated shoulder strap for easy carrying. A soft protective case is also included for storage and transport, allowing you to take them anywhere with confidence.
