Best stabilized binoculars on the market!
Comparing to my Canon 18x50 IS and Fujinon 14X40:
The Kite’s optical performance is about the same as the Canon and maybe 98% of the Fujinon. There is only slight contrast advantage for the Fujinon, which could be due to the large magnification difference, still very very close.
The Kite wins in every other aspect compared to the Canon and Fujinon:
huge field of view, superior image stabilization, way better ergonomics, relatively lightweight, instant on/off, better designed on/off switch, way better environmental protection compared to the Canon, better battery life.
It’s also decently sharp corner to corner; in real life it seems about the same as the Canon and Fujinon (even without using a special flattening lens element).
It should be almost embarrassing to Canon and Fujinon to have such a competitor, as the Kite technology seems like 20 years ahead.

Les performances optiques du Kite sont à peu près les mêmes que celles du Canon et peut-être 98 % de celles du Fujinon. Il n'y a qu'un léger avantage de contraste pour le Fujinon, qui pourrait être dû à la grande différence de grossissement, mais encore là c’est très très proche comme qualité.
Le Kite gagne dans tous les autres aspects par rapport au Canon et au Fujinon :
Champ de vision énorme, stabilisation d'image supérieure, ergonomie bien meilleure, relativement léger, marche/arrêt instantané, interrupteur marche/arrêt mieux conçu, bien meilleure protection de l'environnement par rapport au Canon, meilleure autonomie de la batterie.
Il est également assez net d’un côté à l’autre ; dans la vraie vie, cela semble à peu près identique à celui du Canon et du Fujinon (même sans utiliser d'élément d'objectif aplatissant spécial).
Cela devrait être presque gênant pour Canon et Fujinon d'avoir un tel concurrent, car la technologie Kite semble avoir 20 ans d'avance.
